Educational Programs Coordinator Internship
Commitment: 10-20 hours per week (depending on duration of internship)
Duration: 3-6 months

The Global Lives Project is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern with excellent communication and organizational skills to help the project build a newly developed educational program. This internship is a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of a new cross-cultural educational program from the ground up. This position calls for an energetic and innovative thinker with excellent research, project management, lesson planning, curriculum development, people and writing skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide backbone support for the pilot education program, such as:
- Provide excellent, timely communication with our collaborators
- Coordinate in-person and virtual meetings with collaborators
- Track overall work plan
- Conduct research on educational plan and outcomes
- Participate in the development of innovative curricula for a full range of ages and grades (K-12) in both public schools focused on state/national standards-based instruction and private schools with more open curricula, as well as afterschool programs
- Document and organize all curricula developed and make it accessible via GLP website
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Detailed oriented with excellent verbal/written communication skills and exceptional people skills
- Proven experience in an educational setting as an instructor/teacher, in either a public or private school, as well as afterschool instruction
- Significant experience working with educators
- Undergraduate or graduate student with passion for curriculum development, education, lesson planning, writing, and editing;
- Self-directed and eager to participate in a new venture
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to commit 15 hours a week and make occassional classroom visits and evening meetings
